How Pro checks in through activity
On Pro, enable activity check-ins and grant motion permission. Qualifying detected activity can automatically record a check-in and restart the timer, including after a reminder has begun.
When activity counts as a check-in
It uses motion that meets the app or device detection rules. Random movement or using another app does not automatically qualify. An activity check-in records detected device activity, not proof of your safety or a manual response.
What needs to be enabled
On Pro, enable activity check-ins in the app and allow notifications and motion activity. Detection depends on device support and background availability; no location or other-app usage is needed.
When to check in manually
Check that the app shows a successful check-in. Missing permissions, background restrictions, or sync delays can prevent activity from reaching the server, so confirm manually if needed. A new valid check-in restarts the cycle; Remind later merely postpones the next reminder and does not extend the existing response window.
