How it works
From reminder to contact notification
In the standard flow, choose your check-in interval. Each successful check-in starts a new cycle. If none is recorded by the due time, HereSignal starts the reminder and response-window flow.

After a reminder, Free needs an explicit response; Pro can also use qualifying activity.
Enable activity check-ins and motion permission on Pro. A successful automatic check-in starts a new cycle. If no successful record appears, confirm manually.

Contacts are only notified if the configured flow reaches that point.
If the window ends without a check-in or an active pause, HereSignal can notify your enabled trusted contacts through the channels you have set up.

Can Pro activity count after a reminder?
Yes. A qualifying automatic activity check-in can also end the current waiting period and start a new cycle. Phone movement or using another app does not automatically qualify. Check that a successful check-in is recorded; the server schedule updates after syncing. Remind later still does not count as a check-in.
What a trusted contact means
A trusted contact is simply someone you choose to receive a message if you miss a check-in. It does not mean you are asking that person to become your emergency responder.
What the confirmation window means
The confirmation window is the time to complete a check-in after a reminder starts. On Free, it is 2, 4, or 8 hours. Remind later only postpones the next reminder; it is not a check-in and does not extend the contact notification deadline. Pause today pauses this flow instead of recording a check-in.
What enabled channels means
Enabled channels are the ways you have actually turned on and, where needed, verified. Depending on your plan, that may include email, SMS, or push.
Important limits
HereSignal is not an emergency service. Notifications are best effort and can be delayed or missed because of device settings, permissions, networks, or third-party outages.
